What size needle should I be using?

For standard cotton a size 80 needle will be sufficient. Although if you are using finer fabrics you will need a finer needle, and if you are using thicker fabrics you will need to use a thicker needle. Remember when it comes to needle sizes, the higher the number, the thicker the needle.
