Innovative Threading System

The Aspire is fitted with the ExtraordinAir threading system, enabling you to thread both the overlock and chain looper at the touch of a button. Its optimised thread paths and guides make setup simple, while the improved needle thread guide and enhanced chain looper path ensure smooth threading – even when working with thicker textured or decorative threads.

Unequalled seam variety with up to 8 threads

With up to 5 threads, the Aspire lets you create a wide variety of stitches, from rolled hems and flatlock seams to decorative cover stitches. Like all Baby Lock combination machines, it functions as both a complete overlocker and a full coverstitch machine. What makes a combination machine special is the ability to blend both areas, giving you more creative options. While the Desire3 offers up to 8 working threads, the Aspire focuses on streamlined performance with versatile stitch combinations, allowing you to experiment and create to your heart’s content.

Precise differential feed

Rolled hem, flatlock or cover stitch – the Aspire’s standard setup with up to five threads gives you plenty of stitch options and decorative effects. For even more versatility, the optional spool holder expands capacity to eight threads.

Adjustable seam width / stitch width

When you adjust the stitch width on the Aspire, both the stitch finger and upper blade move in sync. This innovative system changes the actual seam width, not just the cutting width as with conventional machines. The result is easy, precise adjustments without overcuts or undercuts – and no need to re-balance looper threads. Your stitch simply becomes wider or narrower without the hassle of time-consuming fine-tuning.

Rolled hem and stitch length adjustment

The Aspire makes adjusting stitch length simple with a single, easy-to-reach dial. You can set the length anywhere from 0.75 to 4 to suit your project, with clear values shown on a straightforward scale. Switching to rolled hem is just as effortless – no extra steps are needed. In this setting, the stitch finger automatically lowers, allowing you to create a neat, narrow seam with ease.

Foot lift height

The Aspire features an extra-high, two-stage presser foot lift of up to 8mm, making it easy to sew through thicker fabrics and multiple layers with ease.

Automatic thread feed - ATD system 

The Aspire excels in both user-friendliness and fabric handling. Thanks to Babylocks innovative ATD (Automatic Thread Delivery) system, it delivers perfect seams every time, regardless of fabric or thread type – no manual adjustments required. With the Aspire, the days of struggling to find the right thread tension are a thing of the past.

Subsidiary Looper

For two-thread seams, the Aspire’s subsidiary looper can be engaged quickly and easily. Securely attached to the upper looper, it stays in place and can’t be misplaced or lost.

Setting the foot pressure

The Aspire’s foot pressure regulator lets you adjust presser foot pressure to suit any fabric type. Whether working with fine, medium, or heavy fabrics, you can easily set the optimal pressure. An easy-to-read scale ensures you can quickly see and adjust the settings as needed.

Knee lever and trim catcher

The Aspire includes a convenient knee lever, allowing you to raise or lower the presser foot hands-free, so both hands remain free to guide your fabric safely. It also comes with the latest Baby Lock Trim Catcher, which integrates a needle collection tray and connects directly to the machine. The Trim Catcher stays in place while threading loopers, and all adjustment dials remain easily accessible at all times.
