With adjustable presser foot pressure, you can adjust the amount of pressure applied to the fabric by the presser foot. This allows you to sew evenly on both thin and thick fabrics. For thin fabrics, you will want to increase the pressure so that the fabric does not pucker or gather. For thick fabrics, you will want to decrease the pressure so that the fabric does not get caught under the presser foot. You can also adjust the upper thread tension to optimize the balance between the upper and bobbin threads. This will help to prevent the fabric from puckering or gathering.
