* Hopper Mechanism - The vertical spring presses the sole to the fabric, preventing the material from pulling up with the needle. The result is a neat consistent stitch pattern.

* Balance setting - Balance is used to balance forward and reverse stitches so that the stitch formation can be adjusted where necessary to suit the material.

* Patchwork Foot #37 - Patchwork Foot #37 features engraved markings for all your 1/4" needs. The straight stitch opening is ideal for patchwork and precision sewing.

* Freearm Slide-on Table - The Bernina Freearm Slide on Table offers greater comfort thanks to an increased sewing area, without affecting free-arm function when sewing on most models.

* Knee lifter / Free Hand System (FHS) - The Knee lifter / Free Hand System (FHS) lets you raise the presser foot and lower the feed dog with your knee. Recommended particularly for applique or any projecy requiring pivoting and getting bulky projects under the presser foot easily.
